Alice’s paintings are mainly figurative, focusing on the lives of women. She normally worked with acrylic paints.  Alice started to paint again when her children left home. She exhibited at the Quay Arts Centre, the Isle of Wight's main gallery. Gradually, her painting began to take second place as more of her time was taken up with her writing.  A Celebration of her Life that took place, at Quay Arts, on the Isle of Wight, in March 2019, displayed more than one hundred and seventy of her paintings and drawings.  This is a selection of her wide range of drawings and paintings covering the period 1948 - 1988.
